We begin a new season, a new year of work… and the first card that comes to meet us is Justice.
The Goddess of Justice looks directly into your eyes. From her descends a light that illuminates everything. In front of her is the scale, balancing the positive and the negative, the masculine and the feminine. Above her appear the Sun and the Moon… and behind her, the spirit of the eagle watches from the sky.
Welcome to the week of Justice.
A week that invites us on a journey to clean our vision and find clarity.
And the first question she asks us is:
Are you really seeing the truth of what is happening in your life?
What is actually happening.
Seeing the Truth of What Is Happening
Many times we enter situations of confusion and stagnation not because there are no solutions, but because we do not want to see the real problem.
We cover it up, justify it, avoid it. We distort the vision we have of ourselves, of the world or of others so that we do not have to step into the mud and recognize what is really happening.
This happens a lot in relationships.
You have probably heard someone say:
“I have just realized that I don’t know who my partner is.”
Or:
“I didn’t know who my partner really was.”
But many times the signs had been there for a very long time.
We simply justify all of them because we want to maintain a certain perception of that person, because we want to believe they are the ideal person, because we do not want to argue, because we do not want to face the problem, or because recognizing the truth would force us to do something about it.
And many times confusion appears precisely because of this.
Because we deny the truth.
Because we do not want to look at it and deal with what is really happening.
So the first call of Justice is very simple:
Look. Look at what is there. Look at what is really happening in your life.
Responsibility
And from there comes the second great teaching of Justice:
Responsibility.
There is a beautiful line from A Course in Miracles that says:
“Every thought produces form at some level.”
I love it because it reminds us of something we constantly forget.
What we think, what we feel, what we say, what we do… and also what we do not do… creates consequences.
All of it is an expression.
It is like a song, a melody that we are constantly playing in the world.
And then that music brings things.
It brings people, situations, experiences, opportunities, conflicts.
And many times, when something happens, we say:
“Bad luck.”
“What a coincidence.”
“It was an accident.”
But Justice takes us directly to cause and effect.
What comes into our life is connected to the music we are playing.
Always.
What we think, what we do, what we tolerate, what we avoid, what we repeat, what we choose and what we leave unchosen sets causes in motion.
And those causes produce effects.
So the next question Justice asks is:
Are you understanding that what happens in your life is connected to the way you live?
What Is the Real Cause?
And here comes another important part.
It is not enough to know that cause and effect exist.
We have to understand what the real cause actually is.
Because very often we get that completely wrong.
Imagine you have a car and you want to avoid accidents or prevent it from breaking down.
So you spend your time cleaning the seats, vacuuming the floor, cleaning the dashboard and making it look beautiful.
And you think: now it’s fine.
But if you want the car to work properly, you need to look at the engine, the oil, the tyres, the brakes…
There are other rules governing the car.
And we do exactly the same thing with our lives.
We want to feel full of vitality, joy and motivation… but we do not see the connection between how we feel and the fact that we have spent years postponing our dreams or what we truly want to do.
We want a different relationship… but we keep acting from the same patterns.
We want something to change… but we keep feeding exactly the same causes.
Cause and effect.
So the question becomes a little deeper:
What is the real cause of what you are experiencing right now?
The Eagle’s Perspective
This is also where the spirit of the eagle comes in.
The ability to rise a little higher and look at our life with perspective.
To see the connections.
To see how one decision led to another. How a way of living created a certain consequence. How what we are doing today is building what we will experience tomorrow.
Decision
And finally we come to the last call of Justice.
Decision.
Because if you can see the truth, if you can recognize your responsibility and if you can understand the connections of cause and effect that brought you here… then you can truly choose differently.
If you have several paths in front of you, Justice invites you to place them on the scale.
Look at what is really there.
Look at how you arrived here.
Look at what cause you are setting in motion with each option.
And then decide.
Because if we want real change, we have to introduce a different cause.
We cannot keep doing the same thing again and again and expect our life to transform.
We have to change something in the music we are playing.
Four Questions for the Week of Justice
So this week Justice leaves us with four questions:
Are you seeing the truth of what is happening in your life?
Are you realizing that what is happening is connected to the way you live?
Do you understand the cause-and-effect connections that have brought you here?
And now that you can see it all… what do you decide? How can you choose in a way that brings real change instead of repeating the same thing again and again?
This week is about working with our vision.
Cleaning it.
Bringing truth and clarity.
And above all, understanding our life in connection with the way we are living it.
That is probably one of the most important connections we can make.
I wish you a beautiful week, that clarity comes to you, and that you have the courage to look at it the way the Goddess looks.
With all the light and all the will in the world.
Happy Week of Justice!!
