Four men of the desert rest in an oasis. They have placed their swords in the center, while their camels wait in the background.
This card represents the moment when we put down our swords, the struggle, the disputes, the inner conflict or the conflict with others, and sit down to contemplate everything from a wider perspective.
It is the rest in the middle of the odyssey. That is what the oasis represents. You haven't reached your destination yet, but it is time to take a break and reconsider.
The symbol on the blanket is the symbol of Jupiter, higher vision.
We often get lost in our clashes with life, with others and with ourselves. And we lose the bigger perspective of what is actually happening.
For example
I don't like my job…. and I focus on that unpleasant aspect…. and I forget that I am doing it out of love for my family, or because I have a plan and in 2 years I will be flying out of here.
This conflict with my partner bothers me and I suffer…… And I forget that what I am experiencing is the dynamic of my family that I still carry within me, and that this is the path to healing it.
I want to solve a problem in my life in 2 days and I get frustrated when I can't…… because I have overlooked the fact that this problem connects with a deep karmic aspect of my path, and expecting to close the chapter in 2 days is simply not realistic. I need a path and I need time for this.
These are examples of how we get lost in what is immediate, and lose our energy and our creative mind.
So we need to stop and put down the swords. Contemplate. Look from a distance. Integrate new KNOWLEDGE and TEACHINGS that help me see the whole movie from another angle, from higher up.
Wherever you are today, it is part of a bigger journey. Remembering that journey is key to discerning and making the next move.
This week is about stopping, putting down the struggle and the mental effort, and setting the intention to see the macro.
Where are you going?
Who are you?
How does this situation connect with your intention?
Is what is happening REALLY as important as it seems? Or is it actually something that will pass and won't carry that much weight in your path?
Many of you tell me that you want to change your life, that there are things you don't like, but they are still there.
The first step is not to get on a bus to Zihuatanejo.
The first step is to understand what is happening from another perspective. That is where all transformation begins.
Free your perception. Allow yourself to look at things differently and, I guarantee you, everything will begin to change.
This week, leave your sword in the center and come sit by the fire.
The stars will tell us the story of what we have truly come into this world to do, and how our path is helping us get there.
See you by the fire,
Teiwaz
