We’ll start by exploring the most potent spaces of the Abbey—the roofless main church, the silent cloister, the medicinal gardens. After a community picnic, we will transition to the second part of our journey: a conscious hike into the deep, surrounding forest.
There, in an intimate clearing, we will hold our drum ritual. We’ll connect with the elements—the water of the streams, the rich autumn earth, and the crisp air—to release what no longer serves us and welcome the harvest season with renewed power and clarity.

Logistics & Important Details
Date & Time:
The event will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025 (Autumn Equinox). We plan for a full-day experience, with an estimated departure from Brussels at 9:00 AM and arrival at the Abbey around 10:00 AM. The visit will begin at 10:15 AM, and we expect to return to Brussels by 7:00 PM.
Location & Meeting Point:
Abbaye de Villers-la-Ville, Rue de l’Abbaye 55, 1495 Villers-la-Ville.
Direct Meeting Point: The specific meeting point and exact time will be communicated to registered participants via a private group.
Carpooling Option from Brussels: We will coordinate carpooling. Please let us know if you can offer a ride or if you need one after you register. This is a great way to connect!
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes (hiking boots are a good idea, it can be muddy).
- A raincoat and/or extra layers depending on the weather.
- Your own food for our community picnic, plus snacks.
- Sufficient water.
- A drum or other gentle instrument for our ritual in the forest.
- A small, biodegradable offering for the Earth (like seeds, flowers, or a special leaf).
- An open heart and a curious spirit!
Important Notes:
A moderate level of fitness is recommended for the forest hike. The event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.
Please be aware: The entrance fee to the Abbey (approx. €10 per adult) is not included in the event investment. Each participant will need to purchase their own ticket upon arrival.
