Imagine Gothic walls open to the sky, ancient columns that feel like pillars between worlds, and the silent energy of 900 years of monastic life soaked into every stone. This isn’t just a ruin; it’s a portal. A place to honor the perfect balance between light and shadow within ourselves.
We’ll start by exploring the most potent spaces of the Abbey—the roofless main church, the silent cloister, the medicinal gardens. After a community picnic, we will transition to the second part of our journey: a conscious hike into the deep, surrounding forest.
There, in an intimate clearing, we will hold our drum ritual. We’ll connect with the elements—the water of the streams, the rich autumn earth, and the crisp air—to release what no longer serves us and welcome the harvest season with renewed power and clarity.

🚗 How to Get There
By Car (Carpooling)
We encourage carpooling to connect with fellow participants! After you register, we will coordinate rides via a private group. Please let us know if you can offer a ride or if you need one.
By Public Transport
Getting to the Abbey by train is a great option. Here is a recommended itinerary from Brussels for our 11:00 meeting time.
Recommended Timetable:

- 09:37: Depart Brussels-Central (IC train to Namur).
- 10:05: Arrive at Ottignies.
- 10:12: Depart Ottignies (S61 train to Charleroi).
- 10:30: Arrive at Villers-la-Ville station.
- 10:32 – 10:57: Walk 1.9km to the Abbey car-park.

🎒 What to Bring
- Comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes (hiking boots recommended).
